Cryptogram Daily Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Cryptogram Daily application (the "App") handles your information. Please read it before using the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 The App collects no personal information. There is no account system, no sign-up, and no login.

1.2 Specifically, the App does not collect or access:

• Name, email address, phone number, or postal address
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
• Advertising identifier, or any tracking across other apps and websites
• Usage analytics, behavioural data, or device fingerprinting
• Crash logs or diagnostic data sent off your device

1.3 Version 1.0 of the App contains no third-party analytics SDK and no advertising SDK.

2. Information Use

2.1 Because no information is collected, no information is used, analysed, or profiled.

2.2 There is no processing of personal data within the meaning of the GDPR, and no sale of personal information within the meaning of the CCPA.

3. Information Sharing

3.1 We do not share information with anyone, because we hold no information about you to share.

3.2 No data is sold, rented, or transferred to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Your puzzle progress, including solved puzzles, current streak, daily hint usage, and statistics, is stored only on your device, inside the App's private storage area.

4.2 This data is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We operate no server that receives it.

4.3 Deleting the App permanently deletes this data. If you back up your device to iCloud or to a computer, the backup may include the App's data. That backup is created and controlled by you and Apple, not by us.

4.4 Version 1.0 of the App makes no network requests at all and works entirely offline.

5. Your Rights

5.1 You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to act on.

5.2 You remain in full control of the data on your own device:

• Erase everything: delete the App, and all progress is removed with it
• Start over: use the reset option inside the App
• Opt out of tracking: there is no tracking to opt out of

6. Children's Privacy

6.1 The App is rated 4+ and is intended to be suitable for all ages, including children.

6.2 Because no personal information is collected from any user, none is collected from children under 13 (as defined by COPPA) or under 16 (as defined by the GDPR).

6.3 The App contains no user-generated content, no messaging, no web browsing, and no way for a child to communicate with anyone through it.

7. Policy Updates

7.1 We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be published at this address with a new effective date, and will be linked from the App and from the App Store listing.

7.2 We will not widen what the App collects without stating it here first.
